Super Bowl prop bets 2015: Will Marshawn Lynch go for the crotch grab?

Super Bowl prop bets are either getting out of hand or getting better, depending on if you put money on whether Belichick will smile during the game.

The Super Bowl is great for a number of reasons, not the least of which are hilarious prop bets. Sure, you could go serious and bet on which player will score the first touchdown or which quarterback will throw for the most yards, but where is the intrigue?

This year, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will be undertaking serious business in Glendale, Ariz., in Super Bowl XLIX. However, Vegas did not disappoint the masses who simply want to kick back, gamble some money and have a party if they win big. There are legions of prop bets to be had, including the classics like the length of the Star Spangled Banner and the color or Gatorade that will splash on the winning coach.

So what props should you be keeping a close eye on throughout the game? Here are a few you are going to enjoy, per Bovada:

Does Marshawn Lynch grab his crotch after a TD? (Yes +350, No -500)

Lynch has been a big fan of grabbing his area throughout the season, doing it in a Sunday Night Football game against the Arizona Cardinals and once again in the NFC title game versus the Green Bay Packers. He has been fined on both occasions, making another grab a costly decision. Still, this is Beast Mode. Nobody puts Beast Mode in a corner.

Which coach gets the first mention after kickoff? (Pete Carroll, EVEN, Bill Belichick -140)

Belichick is the favorite here, likely because of his DeflateGate issues. Carroll gets plenty of airtime during most games because of his cheery demeanor, but Belichick is a magnet for cameras. Everybody always wants to see the genius of a man in a hoodie, brooding up and down the sideline. Speaking of a brooding man in a hoodie...

Will Bill Belichick smile on camera? (Yes +140, No -180)

Belichick is not known for his abundance of happiness, so the "No" option is getting the favorite billing. The best bet for someone going the other way is that the Patriots somehow blow out the Seahawks, and Belichick can relax for the last two minutes of the game. If he gets the Gatorade bath, maybe he smiles out of reflex or because he's trying to hide the fact he's freezing.

How many times does "Deflated" balls get said during the game? (3 - Over, -140/Under EVEN)

In case you have not heard, New England has been accused of deflating its footballs before the AFC Championship game to make for an easier grip. The media has talked about this in hushed tones throughout the week, and now it is up to Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth to bring this story to light. Will either have the moxie to do it more than three times?
