Maryland's Melo Trimble lit up Michigan State in the first half

There are three great freshmen point guards in the Big Ten this year, and all three were McDonald's All-Americans. D'Angelo Russell is flying up mock drafts at Ohio State, James Blackmon has been a great offensive player for Indiana and Melo Trimble is leading a resurgent Maryland team.

Trimble and the Terrapins are hosting Michigan State on Saturday afternoon, and the freshman guard is putting on a show. He had 21 points in the first half on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and 5-of-7 shooting from three-point range.

Maryland went into the break up 40-26.
