T.Y. Hilton is starting to come on despite some competition in the Indianapolis receiving corps. Should fantasy owners start him this week?
Indianapolis Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton was expected to slow down after a big 2013 season. The team added Hakeem Nicks from the New York Giants and Reggie Wayne is already back from his ACL surgery. Well, Hilton has 31 catches and 381 receiving yards in his first five games.
His numbers are also trending up with a nine-catch, 90-yard game in Week 5 and a six-catch, 105-yard game in Week 4. Clearly, quarterback Andrew Luck has gained confidence in Hilton and has targeted him double-digit times in four of the five games.
This week, he should get a very nice matchup against the Houston Texans on Thursday. The Texans do have a decent set of corners, but they're better outside the numbers than against the slot guys. That would suggest Hilton gets a heavy dose of targets this week.
Fantasy impact: Road games on a short week should impact your thought process, but Hilton is still a very nice WR2 this week.
