Indianapolis at Houston betting odds, preview, prediction

Indianapolis Colts look for their fourth straight win this Thursday night against Houston.

The Indianapolis Colts are 3-0 SU and ATS in their last three games overall and in their last three games against the Houston Texans. The Colts will try to extend those winning streaks when they visit the Texans this Thursday night in Houston.

Andrew Luck and the Colts are on a roll. With a small spread to cover this week going off at -2.5 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, Indianapolis should be able to pick up a win and cover on the road.

Indianapolis fell into an early 0-2 SU and 1-1 ATS hole on the season with back-to-back losses against Denver and Philadelphia. However, since then the Colts are a perfect 3-0 SU and ATS and have outscored their opponents 105-47 over that stretch. Andrew Luck is the star of the show in Indianapolis, but the defense has also played well including a strong effort in last Sunday's 20-13 win over Baltimore.

OddsShark Computer Prediction: Indianapolis 31.7, Houston 18.6

Houston hosts Indianapolis this Thursday night at NRG Stadium with kickoff set for 8:25pm ET.

The Texans have enjoyed a solid season so far, improving to 4-1 ATS in their 20-17 overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. Houston is still struggling to find consistency on offense; outside of their 30-14 win over the lowly Raiders, the Texans have averaged only 18.5 points per game. Going up against an offense like Indianapolis, Houston can't afford to be held scoreless as it was in the first half at Dallas.

The OVER is 3-0 in Indianapolis's last three games as a road favorite and 12-3 in Houston's last 15 games as a home favorite. Thursday's total is set at 46 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Indianapolis is 9-1 SU in its last 10 games as a road favorite and 7-1 ATS in its last eight games as a road favorite. The Colts have the best passing attack in the NFL averaging 321.8 passing yards per game, and Houston has struggled this season against teams with strong passing games. Houston could keep the game close at home on Thursday night, but Indianapolis should win outright and cover the 2.5-point spread.
