Toronto Maple Leafs forward Daniel Winnik was taken from the ice on a stretcher following a first-period collision.
Winnik took a heavy hit from Colorado Avalanche defenseman Jan Hejda and fell to the Pepsi Center ice on his head. Winnik laid there motionless and needed to leave the ice on a stretcher.
Despite how awful that looked, there is good news:
