Rise 'n Grind: What in the world are the Philadelphia Eagles doing?

Nobody knows anything anymore, but Monday's NFL buffet features more than a Tim Tebow carving station.

HE IS RISEN: By now you've probably heard that the Eagles signed Tim Tebow. It's great news for sportswriter column recycling. Check out these stats for the three quarterbacks Chip Kelly has now ... WOOF. Tebow probably won't even make the final 53-man roster, right? Eagles fans aren't so sure. We have an idea for a new Eagles logo.

BYE BYE BARKLEY: Philly tried to trade Matt Barkley before signing Tebow. Nobody wanted to pay whatever it was they were asking. Poor Matt Barkley.

MAKE IT EASY: Even more Eagles related quarterback news, Marcus Mariota says landing in Philly with Chip Kelly, his old college coach, would make the transition to the NFL easier.

ANOTHER ONE DOWN: Former Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson is expected to announce his retirement on Monday. He hasn't actually played a regular season game since 2012, but it's one less safety out there in a league that's getting desperate at the position.

STADIUM SHUFFLE: The NFL sent Eric Grubman, their stadium point man, to Oakland where he had a very frank talk with officials there about plans for a new stadium for the Raiders. The Raiders are also in cahoots with the Chargers for a shared facility in Carson, Calif.

PC POLICE: On Friday, PFT Commenter let some internet commenter from the other side of the isle write a hot take about just how wrong the NFL Draft is.

PUSHED TOO FAR: HBO's Real Sports is doing a feature about Jim Harbaugh, which includes some very frank conversations with his former players in San Francisco. Alex Boone said Harbaugh pushed them "too far" and also wondered if he was crazy. Yes, he is crazy, Alex, and that's what makes him so special.

REPLACEMENT: Are the Bears already looking for Matt Forte's replacement?

WORTH IT: The Philip Rivers-Titans trade rumors tool a temporary break for the Tebow news, but it's not going away. One question we have about such a deal is whether or not it's worth it for a talent-bare team like the Titans to hitch their wagon to a thirtysomething quarterback. Music City Miracles makes a great case why it's actually a good move for Tennessee. Chargers fans have a trade scenario they're hoping for too.

PERFECT FIT: Stephen White broke down Michigan WR/TE Devin Funchess on Friday. You know where Funchess might just be a really good fit? Baltimore.

PETERSON TRADE: The Vikings reportedly want a first-round pick and more (!) in exchange for Adrian Peterson. That seems a little steep. Arizona and Dallas, the two teams most often connected to a post-Vikings Peterson, pick 24th and 27th, respectively, but it's a steep price to pay when they both have a real shot to land either Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon with one of those picks.

BEST BACK: Speaking of Gurley and Gordon, who's the better player? If you factor out the injury concern, it's probably Gurley. Danny Kelly explains why the Georgia product has an edge.
