The young Finn is already lighting the lamp for Chicago.
It will be impossible for the Chicago Blackhawks to replace Patrick Kane, the NHL's leading scorer, who will miss roughly three months after breaking his collarbone on Tuesday.
Thankfully for the 'Hawks, they had an immensely talented forward in Teuvo Teravainen waiting in the wings. Much to the delight of fans anxious to see him in action, the 20-year-old was recalled before Thursday's contest against Florida, and he didn't waste much time before making an impact.
The 20-year-old opened up the scoring 3:08 into the first period with a beautiful wrist shot past Roberto Luongo. Teravainen exhibited impressive patience by holding onto the puck and letting Erik Gudbranson screen Luongo.
