Golden State and Memphis, two of the final remaining unbeaten teams in the NBA, will put their records to the test on Wednesday night.
Both the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors will look to stay unbeaten Wednesday night as some of the best teams in the Western Conference face off. Memphis visits Phoenix for the first time this season at 9 p.m. ET, while Golden State meets the Clippers in a nationally televised game later in the night. Here's a look at the schedule:
The dessert
Clippers at Warriors, 10:30 p.m. ET
Remember when Mom always told you to eat your dinner before having dessert? In this case, we wanted to try, but a nationally televised matchup between these two teams is like an ice cream sundae covered in churros served in a bowl made of donuts. It's too sweet to pass up.
Golden State has been as dominant as any team in the league three games into its season. The Warriors currently lead the league in defensive rating (87.5 points per 100) and net rating (plus-15.5 points per 100), all while playing the fastest pace of any team. Part of that can be attributed to beneficial matchups against the Kings and Lakers to open the season, but the Dubs also beat the Trail Blazers last Sunday and frankly, Sacramento might be pretty good. For the Clippers, who are 3-1 but haven't played nearly as well, this seems like a good chance to break out on the road and deliver a big win. With the game broadcast on national TV, this is one worth staying up late for.

The appetizer
Heat at Hornets, 7 p.m. ET
Miami dropped its first game of the season Tuesday night to the Rockets, but the team has still yet to lost to an Eastern Conference opponent. On Wednesday, that record may be challenged as the Hornets host the Heat for the first time since their nickname change over the offseason. Charlotte hasn't played well of late, losing its past three, but defense appears to be a strength once again under talented head coach Steve Clifford. Only seven teams have allowed fewer points per possession this season, so the Heat will have a tough time putting up big numbers despite having the No. 4 offense in the league thus far.

The main course
Grizzlies at Suns , 9 p.m. ET
One of just three remaining unbeaten teams, Memphis sees arguably its toughest matchup yet on Wednesday. The Suns don't necessarily look like a prototypical contender, but there aren't many teams in the league that can match up with Phoenix. The team's unique combination of floor-spacing bigs and multi-talented guards, along with some deft coaching by Jeff Hornacek, have turned the Suns into one of the most difficult opponents in the league for which to plan. Phoenix already beat the defending champion Spurs on Halloween, and could make another early statement by topping Memphis.
