Derrick Rose out for Bulls with sprained ankles

Rose has missed four of the last five games.

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will sit out on Saturday night against the Boston Celtics at the United Center with sprains in both ankles, the team announced before the game, per Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports.

It is the fourth time in five games Rose will sit. The seventh-year guard, limited to just 10 games played in the previous two seasons combined, is averaging 15.3 points and 5.3 assists in the early going in 2014-2015, playing in three games so far.

Rose had 13 points and seven assists on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, playing a season-high 31 minutes, though he admitted to reporters after the game he played at 50 percent, after saying earlier he wouldn't push it, especially early in the season if he was under 100 percent.

The Bulls entered Saturday atop the Central Division with a 5-1 record, tied for the best record in the Eastern Conference with the Toronto Raptors. Chicago has won four straight games.
