First time we've ever seen a play blown dead because "the officials were not in a position to officiate."
After a long pass to Jordan Matthews in the second quarter against the Carolina Panthers, Mark Sanchez got the Eagles up to the line of scrimmage fast and snapped the ball... only to be told the refs weren't ready:
It seems the Eagles got ready for the next play, but the zebras didn't. We know Chip Kelly has them going fast, but this is the first time we've heard of them going so fast that the refs couldn't properly set up. Clearly, this is part of a league-sponsored conspiracy to slow down the Eagles.
It didn't bother the Eagles much -- they kept chugging down the field for a touchdown, but still a funny moment.
