Marvin Lewis doesn't leave fantasy owners with solid answers on A.J. Green's status

The Bengals continue to be vague on A.J. Green's Week 9 status. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis didn't give any clear-cut answers on the status of wide receiver A.J. Green. Speaking to the media on Monday, Lewis only said "we'll see how he does this week" when asked about Green.

Green hasn't played since aggravating his toe injury in Week 5. He said on Sunday that he feels "about 80 percent," suggesting that he could return in Week 9 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Lewis isn't tipping his hand yet.

Fantasy impact: We probably won't know anything about Green's status until the Bengals return to practice on Wednesday -- he's someone to monitor this week. Mohamed Sanu has stepped up as the No. 1 receiver in Green's absence, grabbing five catches for 125 yards in Cincinnati's win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Sanu is a fine WR3 as long as Green is out, and should continue carrying fantasy value even when he comes back. At the moment, Green should be considered 50-50 for Week 9.
