Jeremy Lane made the play of the game thus far, intercepting Tom Brady near the end zone. Unfortunately, it appears he is unlikely to return to the game.
We're still scoreless in Super Bowl 49, but the Patriots came oh so close to finding the end zone.
Jeremy Lane made the big play for the Seahawks. Unfortunately, he had to be taken off the field immediately afterward. Lane's arm was put in an air cast. He has been ruled doubtful with a left wrist injury.
The Seahawks were already thin in the secondary with Marcus Burley ruled inactive. The team is also dealing with an elbow injury to cornerback Richard Sherman and a knee injury to safety Kam Chancellor.
The Patriots' running game and quick passing game looked good on their long drive prior to Lane's interception. The Seahawks may need as many healthy bodies as they can muster to slow down Tom Brady and company. Help from the offense would be nice, as well. The Seahawks have punted on both of their possessions thus far.
Lane is likely done for the game, but at least he got to make a huge play before leaving.

The Pats' opening drive was stymied after referees missed a roughing call.
We're just a few minutes into Super Bowl 49, and already there's controversy.
Refs called running into the kicker on the play above, but the call arguably should have been roughing because the punter got hit on his plant leg. A roughing call would have been 15 yards and a first down. Instead, the Patriots re-tried the punt after declining the penalty.
