NHL schedule 2014: Blackhawks bring seven-game win streak to Boston

Elsewhere, the Blue Jackets and Capitals battle to keep their own win streaks alive, and the Sharks host the Wild.

Are you ready for Thursday night? There's a lot of action on the NHL schedule, with the game of the night coming from Boston.

The Bruins play host to the Chicago Blackhawks at TD Garden at 7 p.m. ET. The Blackhawks are rolling as they enter the game on a seven-game win streak. Chicago hasn't exactly been feasting on lesser-thans during the streak either.

Chicago has wins against Montreal, Nashville, St. Louis, Anaheim, and Los Angeles in that time, and now the team faces a Bruins squad coming off a 5-2 win against Arizona on Saturday. Even counting Saturday's victory, however, Boston has lost five of the past seven games. The team is looking to get things right and may have David Krejci back against Chicago. With Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Marian Hossa to wrangle as well as recently returned Patrick Sharp, at least the Bruins have Tuukka Rask.

Elsewhere, the Columbus Blue Jackets take their four-game winning streak into Washington to face Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals at 7 p.m. Columbus has gotten great play from Sergei Bobrovsky and has a host of different forwards scoring goals. The Caps would like to see a bit more from Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom as they try to extend their three-game winning streak.

Out west, the Wild face the Sharks at 10:30 p.m. and while Minnesota has won six out of its past 10 games, the team looking to get more consistent, especially in goal. The Sharks would like to keep things going in the right direction; they've won five of their past six.

Here's the rest of Thursday's schedule. You can catch all the action, except for Chicago-Boston, on GameCenter Live and Center Ice.
